Pankaj Singh is an MLA GB Nagar and he is an Indian legislator from Uttar Pradesh (UP) and an individual from the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Noida, (UP).
Early Life and Education
Pankaj Singh was born on 12 December 1978 in Daltonganj in Palamu district, Jharkhand. His father, Mr. Rajnath Singh, is an experienced BJP leader and currently serves as the Home Minister of India. His mother, Mrs. Savitri Singh is a homemaker. Pankaj Singh is married to Mrs. Shushma Singh and has two children. After finishing school, Pankaj Singh moved to Delhi for his graduation. He did his B.Com from Dayal Singh College, Delhi University, and later did PG Diploma in Management from Amity Noida.
Political Profile
MLA Pankaj Singh won his first assembly election in 2017 from Noida, UP. Prior to this he worked for the Bhartiya Janata Party in various capacities and was active in social work and has organized several social movements related to the rights of farmers.
Pankaj Singh became familiar with the world of politics at an early age. When Mr. Ranjith Singh was contesting from Heidegger in the Baranski district, Pankaj Singh used his analytical skills while studying MBA in elections to understand the needs and aspirations of the people. But at that time, he had no intention of joining politics. However, he remained active in social work. But only after interacting with people from all walks of life and listening to their problems, he realized that politics is the medium through which he can do a lot for the people of his country.
Shortly thereafter, Pankaj Singh became active in the Bhartiya Janata Party. In 2004, he became a member of the BJP’s Yuva Morcha state executive. In 2007, he became a member of the state executive of the BJP’s Uttar Pradesh unit. That year, his name was also announced as the party’s candidate from the Chicagoan assembly constituency in Varanasi. But after his father’s advice that he should work for a few more years in the party before entering electoral politics, Pankaj Singh decided not to contest. In 2010, he became BJP’s secretary in Uttar Pradesh and later held the post of general secretary. This is his fourth term as the General Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh unit of the BJP.
